"The exploration of memory is inseparable from the creation of narratives.

The mechanism of remembering is flawed and rarely presents itself as absolutely concrete. Memories, like stories, are constructions; phrases such as "I think", "how I remember it", "it was" and many other fallacious connectors give way for new narratives to emerge, with each retelling of a particular situation, with each description of a unique and irreproducible feeling. After all, as the Portuguese saying goes: "quem conta um conto, acrescenta um ponto" (tr. "whoever tells a story, always adds a full stop").

In "e depois?" two artists from different backgrounds explore their own memories, as well as those of others, interweaving them. By reusing and rethinking elements usually associated with childhood – arguably the most important phase of human development – ​​new pieces are created that chase after lost narratives, past narratives, and others that are continuously developing.

The insistent questions are always: What comes next? What happens next? What do we do next? What do we feel next? What do we remember next? And then?"
